CHARLIE THE CHICKEN

TALE
  
Charlie the chicken eats lot of corn. That´s why he has such a big fat TUMMY!
Charlie the chicken eats lots of corn. That´s why he has such a big strong BEAK!
Charlie the chicken eats lots of corn. That´s why he has such great big FEET!
But if you think Charlie the chicken is big you should see his mom!
And color up, color over, this story is over.

PRE-TELLING
On the pre-telling we find the activities we do before the tale. This activities are for kids' comprehension.

v The first activity is a flashcard activity for teach the children the new vocabulary. (Annex 1)

è  The vocabulary is this:  Corn, tummy, beak, and feet

·        DIDACTIC OBJECTIVES: With this activity we show the pupils the vocabulary about the tale.

v The second activity involves painting Charlie the chicken.
(Annex 2)

·      DIDACTIC OBJECTIVES: This activity allows children to know the character before starting the story.

v The third activity is to make a Charlie the chicken puzzle in groups. (Annex 3)

·      DIDACTIC OBJECTIVES: In this activity the children will remember the chicken Charlie who painted in the previous activity and fit it correctly.

v The fourth activity is a discrimination activity. (Annex 4)

·      DIDACTIC OBJECTIVES: Kids have to distinguish the meaning of big and small.

v The fifth activity is chirping like a chicken and cluck like a hen.

·      DIDACTIC OBJECTIVES: Children learn the different sounds they make these two animals.

POST- TELLING


On the post-telling, the story was narrated and we find the activities related to the story.

v The first activity is to make a mask of Charlie the chicken.
(Annex 5)

·           DIDACTIC OBJECTIVES: With this activity children are part of the character.

v In the second activity will be distributed to children a tab with different animal tracks and must surround the trace corresponding to the chicken. (Annex 6)

·      DIDACTIC OBJECTIVES: Children will learn various animal names and some of their tracks.

v The third activity involves making Charlie the chicken. (Annex 7)

·      DIDACTIC OBJECTVES: In this activity, pupils create their own Charlie the chicken.

v The fourth activity is to paint Charlie the chicken and his mother

·      DIDACTIC OBJECTVES: In this activity,pupils will learn in a fun way the little big concept.
